There was a time when I believed that the doors to education and better future were closed for me forever. As a girl who was always sick, my academic performance was undesirable. In my head, school was not for me because I thought I was not smart enough, too old plus the finances were not there. The comprehensive support I got from Badi and Emelda has not only alleviated these financial burdens but has also instilled in me a renewed sense of confidence and determination.
Beyond the tangible resources, the health education component of the support has been life changing. It has equipped me with vital knowledge to make informed decisions about my well-being and has emphasized the importance of maintaining good health as a foundation for academic success. In addition, the most impactful has been the moral empowerment I have received. The encouragement, guidance, and ethical teachings have nurtured my character and inspired me to strive for excellence not just in my studies but also in my conduct. This holistic approach to support has cultivated in me the virtues of responsibility, integrity, and empathy qualities that I will carry forward. I am always excited when they call and there is never a dull conversation no matter that is happening. May God continue to bless you both and everything you do.

My first meeting with Badi and Emelda was during one of their visits to Uganda. Drawn by their naturally nurturing demeanor, their magnetic love, and their generous hearts, I instantly viewed them as parental figures. It was hard to watch them leave, but they reassured me that they would stay in touch and that I had become part of their family. Based on my past experiences, I was skeptical that this promise would be fulfilled. However, to my surprise, shortly after they left, I received a call from them. You can imagine my excitement. They simply wanted to check in to say they had arrived safely, that they missed me, and that they hoped I was well.
As a single mother who had tried everything possible in life, I had resigned myself to accept whatever my circumstances might bring. Today, I stand before you to share the overwhelming joy I felt when They reached out to me with the incredible news that they would support me in completing the nursing program I had previously dropped out of due to financial constraints. Thanks to them, I am back in school, and so is my son. I am profoundly grateful for their help.
